Cryoserver Ltd, the UK-based email archiving system developer wet into liquidation at the end of last week with staff reportedly clearing out their London offices last Friday. The company claimed that a number of law firms ordered the system - according to Insider records the most recent was Taylor Wessing in October 2005 - and in December 2005 Tikit became a distributor. In January 2006 the Cryoserver system was runner up in the Legal Technology Awards' Technology Innovation of the Year category!
The liquidation is being handled by Guildford-based accountants Stonham & Co. For the year ending April 2005, the most recent available, the company accounts reveal that the 31 private shareholders saw it report a loss of £368,672. At time of writing Cryoserver's website was still running.
